Jenny Meyer holds a BIuris, LLB (cum laude), LLM (Commercial) having majored in Company Law and Labour Law (with distinction) and is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa. She has held senior Corporate positions and was a practicing advocate at the Johannesburg Bar in the broad area of Commercial Law until 2016 when she founded LEXCOMM. INT, an advisory company providing specialist legal and commercial solutions.  Recognising the need for change in approach and lateral yet competitive solutions, legalities are imbued with business imperative, commercial context and industry relevance, integral to a viable legal solution. Pecuniary considerations are also important, She optimises her some 30 years of experience both in the Corporate environment and legal practice as a litigator in applying skill to solve client legal and commercial challenges, attempting to avoid unnecessary, protracted and costly litigation.  She advises clients in the fields of financial services, mining, company, corporate, employment and consumer protection law having garnered experience and exposure to these fields in senior positions at Werksmans, RMB Asset Management and RMB Unit Trusts, Anglo American SA and Anglo Platinum, amongst others and has had the opportunity to practice and successfully implement this experience in her Practice at the Bar. She was previously appointed by the Minister of Finance as a member of the advisory committee on the FSB’s FAIS Act representing the asset management and collective investment industry. She is also non-executive Chairman and director of Boutique Collective Investments, a subsidiary of the Efficient Group listed on the JSE.
